Industrial automation with AGVs and AMRs

Until recently, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) were the only option for automating internal transportation tasks. AGVs are commonly used in large, fixed installations where repetitive, consistent material deliveries are required.

However, AGVs are now being challenged by autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), which offer more advanced, flexible, and cost-effective technology. While both AGVs and AMRs transport materials, the similarities end there.
